Edward Richards has over 20 years of experience working with both the private and public sectors.
Edward was CEO of the Professional Advisers Associations (and oversaw the merger with the Mortgage Brokers Association). Prior to that he was Executive Director of the Retirement Villages Association and was media spokesman for FAANZ (Financial Adviser Associations of New Zealand). He has written publications on education for financial professionals and reader-friendly compliance and regulatory guidelines for advisers.
He has represented the New Zealand Meat Board in negotiations with trade partners; represented Lion Nathan and DB Breweries on Sale of Liquor Act reforms; and liaised with Foods Standards Australia NZ on labeling standards for alcoholic beverages. Edward is a talented writer and publicist. He is a regular columnist for Asset Magazine, and has a strong understanding of financial and insurance services.
A graduate of the University of Canterbury, Edward has an MA (Hons) in political science. Edward combines top-notch communications skills with a keen interest in consumer strategies. He offers a multidisciplinary ‘third person’ approach to ‘put businesses and their products and/or services on the map and is passionate about getting key message across when it counts’.
